Unexpectedly, a troubled neighbor becomes a friend and it proves to be a pleasant surprise.

As mean neighbors oppose Raya and Lupe’s stay in the community, Chris – Raya’s tutee becomes more drawn to Raya because she makes him feel heard and seen. But the neighbors start to attack Raya and Lupe for they believe they are being cursed. Jess tells Chris to stay away from Raya.
