Gayle King and LeeAnn pulled up to the kitchen island in Miami -- and this one goes everywhere in the best way possible. Fear and fame, space travel, Whitney Houston… you know, the kinds of stories that somehow only come out when there’s food on the table. While I tried to keep dinner from going sideways, we talked about music, marriage, and Gayle makes a phone call that changed my life. It’s loose, chaotic, and exactly the kind of hang I love.

I’m cooking for two people who actually know what they’re doing in the kitchen, so obviously I make chicken schnitzel with an apple fennel salad and a blue cheese olive tapenade thing that somehow really worked. We get into everything from Food Network and travel shows to burger trends, bread options and Andrew has me fully spiraling about salmonella. This one is chaotic, super food nerdy, and one of my favorite hangs in a while.

I’ve got Diplo and Rocco DiSpirito on Something’s Burning, and somehow, we cover everything from DJs going to work at 8AM to why my Target knives are apparently unacceptable. Punk legends Fat Mike and El Hefe, of NOFX fame, come by the kitchen and I immediately fan-girl out on them and their new documentary. We talk about the final tour, the pressure of playing the same songs for 40 years, the weird beauty of self-deprecation, and what it means to actually be punk. There are coke stories, Bad News Bears lies, and a song about how no one can pronounce my last name..

Jordan Jensen and Ian Fidance, from their podcast Bein’ Ian with Jordan, come by the kitchen where I surprise Ian with the only surviving artifact from the bus fire. We also talk about my questionable method for stopping panic attacks, whether comedians hooking up with fans is a me-too offense, getting kicked off swim team and the anchovy bone that nearly killed me at a Travel Channel dinner. And all this while I make enough Loco Moco to feed an army.

The guys from Are You Garbage come over for fried chicken livers and giant mortadella sandwiches with fresh pesto, Calabrese peppers, and some seriously old sourdough. We talk about the reality-show moment that almost ended my career, using fame to get Tom Segura into the ER, and why Paul Reiser hated their questions. I’ve been listening to Mt. Joy nonstop these days, so having the band in the kitchen is a dream come true. We get into the real stories behind “Jenny Jenkins” and “Lucy,” our shared love of Passion of the Christ, and somehow try to FaceTime Aaron Rodgers while talking about Dave Matthews. I make marinated chicken thighs over feta with risotto and broccolini, then Mt. Joy breaks out the instruments and plays “Astrovan” and “Lucy” live.

As one of the BIGGEST KISS fans of all time, I can’t help but fanboy out to Nick Simmons and Evan Stanley about their dads… We talk about what’s it’s really like growing up with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, being nepo babies, starting their own bands and why fans apparently forgot how insane rock stars used to dress. I also relive my hilariously terrible first interaction with Gene - and how I eventually got the apology I never thought I needed. And, all while I make coffee-crusted ribeyes with whipped feta and beets.

The ladies from #IMOMSOHARD come by and turn my kitchen into group therapy with a guest appearance by LeeAnn. We talk mom bods, raising teenagers, plastic surgery, and the anxiety that shows up when your brain decides nighttime is the perfect time to ruin your life. Plus, I try my hand at Nebraska Runzas with beer cheese and a corn salad – and somehow absolutely crush them. This episode just proves my point that women are the funniest people on the planet.

I’ve got one of my new favorite bands, The Bends, hanging out in the kitchen… These guys went from LSU frat parties to full blown rock stars by graduation. We talk about writing music, rock influences, and write some pretty awesome, off-the-cuff love songs. I make hot chicken biscuit sandwiches, we drink Garage Beer, spew out Taylor Swift lyrics - and plan out their future millionaire lifestyles. Plus I get a little live show at the end…

This time, I’m in my NYC kitchen with two of my buddies: Mark Normand and Keith Robinson.
