It's Abelardo Pons' birthday, a renowned businessman and father of three girls. That night, Frida, 16, goes out with her cousins, and they all endure a nightmare that will change their lives forever.

A phone call confirms to Abelardo that Frida is in trouble. He must follow their instructions closely if he wants his daughter to stay alive. They also warn him: they want to see him suffer. He does not say a single word.

The police's presence complicates the situation. Pons loses control and blames Cabrera. Another call has everyone trembling while Marcela begs for her daughter. The kidnapper demands more money and promises worse revenge.

Abelardo recognizes the voice on the recording of the kidnapper's call. The police deploy an operation to catch him. It's Ramiro Bolaños, a former accountant for Pons' company, who was fired years ago for fraud and went to prison.

The Pons air Frida's case on TV, but suspicions arise within the family. Marcela doubts her husband and senses Diego is involved in the disappearance of her daughter.

The police discover Diego takes drugs, and every suspicion falls on him. Cabrera takes him to the precinct and pressures him to confess what he did with Frida the night she disappeared. The officer fears he was violent with her.

An email from Frida and a bloodstain place Diego and Tomás in the eye of the hurricane. Questions arise, but the most disturbing thing is a medical certificate Frida showed to avoid going to school.

The press' headlines uncover the controversy, and the Pons are outraged. Abelardo insists the cousins lied, but Salvador argues that fear took over, and that's why they did not tell all they knew.

Frida discovered a secret and used it to blackmail Sasha: She'd keep silent in exchange for a document. Now, the secretary must tell all to the police.

The police's protocols for following a clue make Frida's parents despair, especially Marcela when she hears Teresa Beltran's testimony. She is sure she saw Frida with someone in a dark car.

Cabrera and his team discover traces of Frida's DNA at a location. Meanwhile, Rafaela confronts Abelardo with a tricky question.

Abelardo believes Cabrera is incapable of leading Frida's case and demands he's removed. The prosecutor needs documented reasons and Pons has Martín's past investigated. Pons speaks out, and his misogynistic side comes to light.

Marcela disappears without saying where she's going. She finds out how and why Cabrera lost his family. Abelardo grows concerned: He feels she's distant and different. A facial composite of the presumed kidnapper is ready.

Almost three weeks after Frida's disappearance, a reporter sets off the alarm. She presents chilling statistics. Abelardo interrupts her and scares her away. Pons runs to the police station.

Since Frida's disappearance, Marcela believes her family will never be the same. She meets Cabrera in secret and reacts poorly when he orders her to stop playing detective. She goes to the police station to apologize.

Marcela fears for her marriage. Meanwhile, the Sex Crimes Unit has news from Cabrera the Pons must hear.

During the birthday celebration of Carolina, one of Pons' other daughters, a phone call from Cabrera makes them leave in a rush. A young woman's body similar to Frida has been discovered, and her parents must identify her.

Martín Cabrera makes a confession in therapy. He is in love, but he knows it could compromise his career, the last thing he has. Silvia Cantú is ready for anything, and he lets himself be carried away by the circumstances.

The police are looking for the reason that justifies Frida's disappearance and ransom demand. After an encouraging phone call, Marcela is in shock. But it remains to be confirmed if the voice belongs to her daughter.

A pizza delivery man claims to have seen Frida at a payphone. Meanwhile, everything indicates someone in the family or very close to them has a connection to the case. Enrique Arteaga is interrogated.

The police deploy an operation at the Pons' house. There's reason to believe whoever holds Frida captive will call again with further instructions. Ingrid, Tomás, and Diego want to see the picture sent of their disappeared cousin.

Salvador has everything to destroy Abelardo Pons. Rafaela suggests a potent weapon: blackmail him with irrefutable proof. Abelardo's life falls apart.

Abelardo is cornered. He imposes rules and loses control with his brother-in-law. Marcela notices this but has no idea what's happening. Pons hides all he can, but he can't take it anymore. He needs to talk to his wife.

Abelardo's confession has unexpected consequences. Marcela assumes control and confronts Cabrera about her husband's infidelity.

Marcela and Martín share a secret. Ángel and Antonio have another. Abelardo visits Sasha without anyone knowing. Accepting Salvador's offer was a low blow.

Every movement counts. Marcela must take the money alone to a public park. The warning is clear: If the police intervene, they will kill Frida. Cabrera attaches a tracker and a microphone to Marcela. Everyone is on edge.

Many hours pass by. They start to think maybe the kidnapper wants more money, or Frida is being manipulated into getting involved in all this, or she's dead. Cabrera requests to tap several phones.

Abelardo becomes the main suspect in his daughter's kidnapping. Marcela is there to support him, although she reacts differently.

Abelardo loses it when interrogated and watches a security video revealing who comes and goes from his office in his absence. Marcela makes a decision he flatly rejects.

Frida's absence from a school trip coincides with a supposed business trip of Abelardo's.

A secret encounter could reveal who betrayed Abelardo. He's ready to pay any price just to confirm his theory and asks the police to empathize with his situation.

The prosecutor, Abelardo, and Captain Pedroza suspect Cabrera is involved with Marcela. Still, Cantú answers uncomfortable questions about the investigation's leader and claims they shouldn't be suspected.

Sick of things being hidden from her, Marcela discovers everything in her family is a sham.

Authorities put out bait and prepare a recorder to obtain some irrefutable proof. Cantú and Cabrera are ready to proceed with the prosecutor's support.

A tip on Marcela mobilizes Abelardo. Enrique tries to talk some sense into him, but his paranoia gives him the strength to break down a door searching for his wife.

Abelardo confronts his wife and tries to take her by force, but when he calls the prosecutor to tell her everything, he's the one to suffer the most. Martín and Marcela feel guilty. They know consequences are coming.

The investigation leads to look for a camera. Every relative of Frida's who owns one must surrender it to the police to have it checked. Angel refuses and is threatened with a search warrant.

A search for evidence will be conducted at the Pons' house and includes using luminol and traces of DNA and dust tests.

Abelardo Pons' health is stable, and authorities will not give him any privileges. Cantú and Robles know precisely what to do that same night.

Abelardo Pons is taken to court, accused of kidnapping a minor. The prosecutor requests an injunction against him, considering him a risk to society and placing his own daughter's life in danger.

The kidnapper arrives to feed Frida, and she sees a picture of her father detained. She tries desperately to escape as she can't bear her father being accused. Meanwhile, Cabrera believes Abelardo might not be guilty.

Abelardo's alibi sparks Cabrera's interest in investigating other relatives. He interrogates Salvador.

With so much planted evidence, things are very obscure. Marcela is needed to get her husband to confess or to testify herself against him in the trial.

Cabrera returns to the cabin with Marcela, and they discover the place was not randomly chosen. The scene might have been staged to mislead the police. Abelardo breaks. The thing that hurts him the most is that his wife doesn't believe him.

The cabin owner is a Canadian businessman, and his testimony might be helpful to identify the kidnapper. Nothing can stop Cabrera on that trail. Captain Pedroza believes Martín is deluding himself.

Salvador, increasingly pressured by those around him, takes his time to return to the cabin. Frida has no food left and takes desperate measures.

Marcela visits Abelardo in prison with a single objective: ask him to empathize with her. Cabrera interrogates Salvador Terán about his Canada connection, but a press article contradicts him.

Salvador refuses to answer any more of Cabrera's questions. He manages to avoid his "harassment". Rafaela pieces things together and draws her own conclusions.

Salvador loses it. He burns evidence and gets his gun ready to eliminate Frida. Cabrera visits Marcela and promises he'll find her daughter.

The truth is so harsh that Rafaela cannot believe the monster Salvador has become. Her husband and niece are entangled in an impossible love story. To convince her, he takes her to the cabin.

Martín Cabrera finds Frida and takes her to the hospital, but she's still in danger.

A letter from Frida becomes a key piece in the investigation. Cabrera hands it over to Pons in person and it breaks his heart. Salvador suffers from nightmares and has reasons to go mad.

Salvador undergoes his worst moment. He must take his children to visit Frida at the hospital. Looking his former hostage in the eyes causes a crisis that he can't hide.

Cantú and Robles arrive at Salvador Teran's workshop with a search warrant. They search everywhere, looking for the connection Sasha found between Eric Bernard, the Canadian businessman, and her boss. Frida presents a new clinical picture.

At Abelardo's request, Sasha must watch Salvador. Pons suspects his sister Rafaela is hiding something from him, and he needs to know what it is.

Salvador is interrogated, but he has an answer for everything. Cabrera applies one of his best techniques: psychological torture.

Salvador is on the brink, and a family invitation becomes further torture. Memories torment him when he enters his niece's room. Rafaela demands he control himself.

The Pons family is stricken by grief when Frida dies, and the authorities hunt for the killer. A bloody screwdriver is the best clue, and is sent to the lab for analysis.

Charges will be pressed against Salvador Terán, but Rafaela insists her husband is not guilty. Pons doesn't trust his brother-in-law and will not support his sister.

A secret relationship prompted Frida to run away from home. The day after she disappeared, she called her uncle to be with her. After learning this, Abelardo wants to kill his brother-in-law.

After charges are pressed against him, Salvador goes to court, and Abelardo loses control. Rafaela talks to her children about their father's confession, and Ingrid is the first to think that he was forced to say that he kidnapped Frida.

Marcela visits Salvador in prison. She needs to look the "coward" who killed her daughter in the eye. The meeting unleashes anger; Terán keeps denying that he abused Frida and that he shot her. Rafaela hires the best lawyer for her husband.

With a case full of irregularities, Rafaela and her lawyer anticipate the hearing. Terán could use a legal strategy to justify why he said what he said in his confession. The police prepare for a reconstruction of events.

A former student of Salvador Terán shows up to tell her painful story, and Cabrera learns about his past as a university professor.

Although Frida's younger sister hasn't seen anything on television, Marcela notices many coincidences and details in her drawings.

Terán begs to get out of prison as soon as possible, even if it's necessary to say he's crazy. His lawyer plans to transfer him to a maximum-security prison. The police are looking for the murder weapon. Marcela acts like an addict.

Prosecutor Zambrano interrogates Rafaela and focuses on Ingrid's psychological profile as a possible victim of her father. However, her feelings for Salvador are unobjectionable. Marcela takes Laura, and Abelard is warned.

Marcela testifies against Salvador, and the defense asks her a question that surprises everyone. Meanwhile, the prosecutor prepares a star witness and gives an interview on TV.

Marcela denounces police harassment. The defense's legal tricks paint Martin as a troubled agent.

It is a decisive day. The court will announce its verdict on the Frida Pons case and if Salvador is guilty or not. Rafaela admits to her children that she is afraid of what may happen. They must prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Rafaela and Salvador think about leaving the country while the prosecution prepares another lawsuit against them.

Marcela knows that Salvador did not kill Frida and asks for a clue. Meanwhile, Cantú and Cabrera analyze financial evidence leading to Lorena.

Rafaela cannot leave the country because of a bribe. She needs to answer questions from the police and Salvador.

Abelardo would pay any price as long as Frida's killer pays for what he did. Meanwhile, Tomás finds a revealing family video.

Marcela clearly sees, in her nightmares, the four elements related to Frida's crime. Rafaela pleases Salvador and shows that everything is because of his power. In despair, she takes definitive action.

The police tap the phone and hear a call between Roble and Abelardo that gives them a clue. After the news of the discovery, Rafaela runs to see Sasha.

During the forensic investigation of Sasha's crime scene, Cabrera finds a clue. The robbery theory is not discarded, but is there a connection between Frida's and Sasha's crimes? Salvador realizes that Rafaela is acting without limits.

Robles announces that the time has come to fulfill the mission that Abelardo entrusted to him. Rafaela's children search her closet for evidence, and Tomás shares vital information with Cabrera.

Tomás can no longer bear the family chaos; he goes to the police and seeks support at his cousin Diego's house. Prosecutor Zambrano orders protection for Terán's children. Ingrid suffers another crisis and is transferred to the hospital.

The police have the proof they need. While Salvador asks his wife to surrender, Abelardo and Enrique are accomplices in a sinister plan.

It’s New Year’s Eve and everything is ready for Abelardo to execute his plan.

Rafaela rethinks her strategy. It’s too soon to jump to conclusions, but the police investigate if Salvador has committed suicide or if he was murdered.

Rafaela manages to escape. The police put together a large-scale operation to find her. Meanwhile, Cabrera tells Pons that there is evidence of a murder.

After a long chase with many victims along the way, Cabrera and Rafaela come face to face.
