Romeo, meanwhile, clumsily tries to hide his relationship in the new religious goods store where he works, passing off Antonio for his brother, while Giancarlo tries to recover his marriage to Marta, who is getting colder and colder towards her husband.

Lucia is unable to deal with her alcohol problem, while Marta discovers that she and Giancarlo owe a large debt to the bank.
