When Seb tells his teenage daughter Emma that he and her mother are splitting up, he has no choice but to finally reveal the truth he has kept hidden for years.

As Seb packs moving boxes, Emma begs him to stay, unable to understand why a brief infatuation from 25 years ago is turning her life upside down.

Emma is getting more and more angry about the situation. She hates the new house, she hates her new room and she blames her father for staying in the closet for so long.

Emma becomes more and more rebellious and is given detention at school. She wants to know how far the romance between Seb and Dennis went. Seb takes her to a winter night in 2000. While students were defacing the school for Chrysostomos, Seb and Dennis secretly withdrew.

Seb is terrified when Emma runs away from home in the night. Emma admits that she may have done something very stupid.

Seb tells about the last time he saw Dennis: at the end of the year ball. Emma has accepted the separation and insists that Seb re-establish contact after all these years.
