Ten years earlier, residents of Konan City sought Mishi Shiromoto's help after land reclamation left local fishermen unable to make a living. Shiromoto turned to her former law firm for assistance, despite warnings that challenging the redevelopment project could put her in conflict with Yoshichika Furuse. After confronting Furuse's election office, she receives a message from his secretary asking to meet. What she discovers there changes everything. In the present, Furuse faces media allegations involving corruption and secret funds, while Uramawashi and Yukari continue trying to clear Shiromoto's name. But something Shiromoto tells them leaves them stunned.

No sooner is Uramawashi's suspension lifted than Yoshichika Furuse files a 300-million-yen defamation lawsuit against him. Furuse's lawyers accuse Uramawashi of spreading allegations that the politician accepted illicit funds, manipulated lawmakers and may even have been involved in a murder. Yukari, representing Uramawashi, has no evidence to present yet. The team desperately searches for proof connecting Furuse to the Sendo-gumi, but Uramawashi reveals that winning the lawsuit is not his real objective. Uramawashi succeeds in clearing Mishi Shiromoto of the crime for which she was falsely accused and brings his final confrontation with Furuse to an end. Afterward, he gives up practicing law and disappears from Yukari's life. But before long, Yukari receives an unexpected call from him asking her to come to the office immediately. There, she meets popular influencer Haruna Takashima, who claims she was defrauded by a beauty salon after paying a large upfront fee but receiving only one treatment. The dispute has also led to a fight with her husband, and she now wants a divorce. Although Uramawashi is nowhere to be found, Yukari finds herself drawn into one more case.
