Gyldengrød casts a spell to clean up before Pyrus arrives, but remembers what Pyrus is like. King Frederik the 7th is visiting when Pyrus comes and gives Gyldengrød a fright. Josefine gets a notice of dismissal, as the archive must be modernized and everything must be computerized. Bertramsen and Josefine want to prove that goblins exist, to prove the validity of the archive. Pyrus has to write an assignment about who the goblins are.

Bertramsen is sleeping when he is awakened by the noise of the craftsmen. Pyrus shows he has learned to do magic, but unfortunately it does not go beyond the computer expert. Kandida arrives and she presents a plan for their assignment. She is very efficient, just after Gyldengrød's head. She will also live in Nissebo.

Kandida is fresh in the morning and is named Kandis. Bertramsen sets off the alarm in the new computer room. Kandis and Pyrus go to the library to get books and have Josefine carry them home.

Gyldengrød thinks Kandis is lovely, Pyrus doesn't. He wants Christmas vacation. Bertramsen and Uffe paint the computer room, but get sick from the paint fumes. The goblins conjure themselves into a book and meet Eve, the first woman. Then they meet one of the world's first goblins.

Bertramsen and Uffe are still unwell, perhaps also from sleeping in the office. Josefine tells Uffe about goblins, but he doesn't believe it. The goblins travel into the Icelandic sagas, where they save a goblin. Uffe has got all his computers, but they don't work because Bertramsen has taken a vital part.

Uffe has been working on his computers all night. Bertramsen hands over the missing part, but it disappears again. It is Pyrus who has taken it, but Uffe accuses Bertramsen. The goblins visit the Elf King and Pyrus dances with the elf girls. Bertramsen gets a thorough introduction to computers from Uffe.

Gyldengrød has made a bath, so everyone has a trip under the shower. Since Kandis and Pyrus are in the archive at the same time as Uffe and Bertramsen, Kandis is discovered by Bertramsen. Bertramsen thinks he has seen visions, and is ill for the rest of the day. Pyrus and Kandis visit a goblin in the 16th century.

Uffe has turned off the water, because he thinks too much coffee is drunk during working hours. The goblins visit a maid who is promised payment for teasing the goblin. However, the elf teases again and the two end up getting along. Birger is still confused by everything that is happening around him.

Pyrus teases that Kandis drops the bowl of porridge. This causes Pyrus to eat in the archive, but Bertramsen is removing the porridge. However, Pyrus has his legs tightened for him so that he does not dare to go into the archive again. Uffe does a test of Josefine and Bertramsen, and is amazed at their effectiveness. However, none of them know that it is the goblins' fault. Pyrus continues conjuring and it goes over Uffe's laptop.

Uffe has forgotten to lock the door to his computer room, and Bertramsen cannot stand for that. He deletes everything, but the computer takes a picture of him. However, Josefine saves him, but Uffe still suspects Bertramsen. The goblins travel to Sweden and Pyrus gets a flight on a goose.

Pyrus and Kandis play flight but they get too close to each other. Birger plays with tin soldiers, even if he tries to picture Uffe, it's for the count. The goblins visit Regensen and Nøddebo Rectory. Uffe also knows the story from his school days, and a play is staged in the office.

It is Josefine's last day, so both she and Bertramsen have decorated. Uffe arrives with a bouquet of flowers and a letter arrives for Josefine from the ministry. Pyrus and Kandis are in love and have no eye for anything else, while Josefine and Uffe also look long for each other.

Josefine and Uffe are also in love, so she invites him to dinner. He misunderstands, so she invites Bertramsen instead. Pyrus and Kandis visit the goblin at the orca's house, and discover it is a young version of Gyldengrød. However, it gives Pyrus the opportunity to teach Gyldengrød some magic strips. Uffe receives the invitation so Bertramsen is jealous.

Birger is jealous from yesterday, so he convinces Uffe that Josefine only cooked for him to save the archive. Uffe is hurt and does not speak to anyone. Pyrus goes for a run with Kandis, but they still can't figure out what the other is thinking. Josefine discovers the true context of the case and becomes good friends with Uffe. They go to the cinema and the goblins watch a puppet show.

Birger is confused by the cast of the puppet theater. Uffe finds a picture of a ceiling in Germany on his computer, but gets angry when he discovers what it will be used for. And then during working hours. Gyldengrød helps Mother Elf clean up and seal the roof so that she will be happy again.

Kandis and Pyrus get to talk to each other. Josefine has placed an ad for Bertramsen and a lady arrives. Bertramsen thinks it is the cleaning lady, until she becomes very approachable. Pyrus casts a spell on the little lady and sends her in to Gyldengrød so that he won't be alone. However, Gyldengrød gets rid of her. Meanwhile, Josefine helps the lady home. After working hours, a new lady comes and chases Bertramsen.

Bertramsen has entrenched himself in the archive and only emerges when Josefine and Uffe have met. Josefine and Bertramsen are talking to an iron elf, and Uffe can't help teasing them. The goblins conjure themselves back to World War II. Uffe ends up talking to the statue, but it is Pyrus who answers.

Uffe invites Josefine to the Christmas ball, but she doesn't really listen. She wants them all to see "Father of Four in the City", and the goblins are on it. Pyrus and Kandis are conjured into the film, and thus no one remembers the action. Uffe repeats his invitation, but does not pick up Josefine. However, it's just her who hasn't listened properly.

Uffe and Josefine meet at work straight from the Christmas ball. Uffe recommends that the ministry close down the archive just after Christmas, and the good mood is gone. Kandis and Pyrus end up in a cartoon and have to be rescued by Gyldengrød. Bertramsen and Josefine read the same comic, and Uffe gets the same on his computer as a game.

Bertramsen believes the goblin game in Uffe's computer was a virus, so Uffe will be sick. Bertramsen proofreads Uffe's report, but there is nothing but spelling mistakes. Because Pyrus' father has come by and he is a goblin. It also causes spelling mistakes in Kandis' and Pyrus' task. Pyrus conjures Uffe's eyes, but he just thinks he's seeing visions.

The goblins only tease Uffe, but he only gets more and more confused. He thinks it is Josefine and Bertramsen who are teasing. They think he has gone mad and want him to see a doctor. Still, they put out fake goblin tracks, but the goblins are at it too, so the two things work against each other.

Uffe supervises Bertramsen and Josefine so that they cannot work. By mistake, Josefine hits him in the head with a box. He becomes like a child. The goblins also hit him with a box and cast a spell on him. He is invited into Nissebo, but does not believe what he sees. Josefine finds him and he is hit in the head again. He is a child again. As Bertramsen is about to strike again, they discover he is normal. The gnomes want to help, but it is Bertramsen who is hit by a box and has to be put to bed.

Gyldengrød has started to pack. Uffe brings a Christmas tree, but it's missing the top. Kandis disguises herself as an elf, but is packed away in a closet along with Uffe's Santa costume. Pyrus tries to save her but has to give up. Gyldengrød and Pyrus decide to defy the age-old goblin law not to show themselves to humans.

Uffe proposes and all three are invited to Christmas Eve in Nissebo. Uffe has emailed his report to the ministry, where he recommends closing down the archive. Everyone breaks up and Uffe is set to hack into the ministry's computer. The goblins look into the future and it is not pretty. They are therefore slowing down Bertramsen's report to the House of Science. Christmas cheer is restored so that Bertramsen and Gyldengrød can discuss historical facts.
