Karen ends up marrying Eduardo. Miguel and Sofía arrive at the wedding and everyone is shocked.

Sofía agrees to give Miguel a chance to be happy. Alejandro sees them kiss and Sofía asks him to stay away from her life. Sofia complains to Rebeca for revealing her pregnancy and, as she feels betrayed, she asks her to stay away from her life.

Miguel faints and dies in Sofía's arms. At the wake, Sofía lashes out at Eduardo for causing her death. Rebeca humiliates Malena when she finds out that she is her father's girlfriend; Malena suffers and ends up with Poncho.

Sofía shocks the partners of Grupo Alva by presenting herself as the new owner of Grupo Cantú, demanding Miguel's money. Isabela tells Sofía to stay away from Alejandro, but Sofía makes fun of her. Eduardo, learning that Rebeca is hiding information about Sofía from him, asks Álvaro to get her out of his way.

Alejandro gets proof that Álvaro caused the plane crash so he can send Eduardo to prison. Alejandro tells Isabela that, since he wants to fight for Sofía and his son, he cannot continue by her side.

Alejandro, knowing that he was a victim of Eduardo, asks Sofía for forgiveness, but she rejects him. Sofía confronts Rebeca for having drugged her and assures her that she will never forgive her.

Rebeca asks Sofía for forgiveness and dies preventing Isabela from hurting her sister; Eduardo confesses all his crimes to Lucía.

Lucía, seeing that Alejandro is in danger, hits Eduardo on the head. Isabela ends her days in prison, where she will meet Jimena again. Eduardo pays for all the damage he did. Sofía agrees to give Alejandro a new opportunity and they enjoy their love in front of the sea.
