According to the London-based investigative organisation Dossier Center, Russian diplomats stationed across the Nordic countries have close ties to Russia’s intelligence services. Their targets include industry, critical infrastructure and political institutions. A team of Scandinavian journalists launches an investigation into Putin’s suspected spies in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. They obtain a list of suspected Russian agents and investigate pressing questions: Why is a Russian trawler equipped with military radio equipment? And what happened to the undersea cable near Svalbard?

A suspected Russian spy ship enters Danish waters, prompting a team of Danish journalists to head out to sea and film it. On board, they spot armed crew members. Working with experts to analyse the vessel’s movements, they discover that it has sailed unusually close to offshore wind farms across Scandinavia, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Is the ship mapping critical energy infrastructure? And who are the Russian spies operating across the Nordic countries?

Secret surveillance reveals suspicious activity near the site of the Nord Stream explosions. Between June and September 2022, Russian naval vessels were spotted near the Nord Stream pipelines. One ship was observed near the site where an explosion would later occur, while another remained northeast of Bornholm for 24 hours. The journalists investigate these movements and examine how Russian disinformation spreads across Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland and who is behind it.
