Laure Gillet, an emergency physician, works back-to-back shifts in an overstretched department. When the Minister of Health and his team collapse in the emergency department, a quarantine is imposed. The arrival of forensic pathologist Éric Simons then turns Laure's world upside down.

At the Ministry of Health, Éric and Mica discover that the botulinum toxin was the result of deliberate contamination. As the investigation progresses, Laure is pushed into becoming the voice of healthcare workers in the media.

An accidental death shakes Alma Hospital's Acute Medicine Department, now caught in a downward spiral where a federal investigation, pressure from superiors and professional solidarity collide.

As suspicion closes in relentlessly on Laure, the appearance of a figure from the past turns everything upside down.

With no antitoxin serum available, Laure and her team race against time to save the victims, while Mica and Éric uncover a devastating truth about Victoria's death.
