Excluded from the investigation for several months, Chloé despairs of to find his sister Jessica, kidnapped with five other girls by Paul Van Acker. A shooting in the middle of the campaign relaunches the investigation. At the Abbey of Vieslart, Béranger had become a model monk, but Lucas was worried about his frequent outings.

Accompanied by Lucas who suspects him of plunging back, Béranger is taken to Chloé's crisis unit. According to him, the girls are hidden at the home of a man Paul Van Acker knew in his past. For her part, Jessica tries to escape from the cellar where she is held captive and learns from the girls that Paul has been absent for several days.

Following the failure of the operation, Vandevelde sent Béranger back to the abbey even though he claimed to have seen Jonas. Back in Vielsart, Lucas discovers his brother Patrick eaten away by alcohol and encourages him to take his life in hand. Meanwhile, Chloé discovers that Jonas has taken up residence in a nearby housing estate. But how do you know which house her sister Jessica is in? Locked up and exhausted by hunger, the girls try to find a solution, but Tensions within the group are increasing.

Despite their parents' protests, Jessica and the girls are kept at a distance from their families, kept under observation and undergoing a battery of psychological tests. For her part, Chloé has to reconnect with her mother, whom she hasn't seen since her parents' divorce. In Vielsart, while Patrick helps Catherine organize the Fête des Roches, Béranger takes advantage of Lucas' absence to go to a mysterious isolated chalet.

Back in the family home, Jessica doesn't seem to reconnect with her past, which worries Chloé greatly. At the abbey, faced with Lucas' refusal to explain his violent attitude towards Béranger, Joseph convened an extraordinary council chaired by Bishop Clarens. Patrick, who has become closer to Catherine's family, receives bad news: the equipment for the village festival will not be delivered.

After his resignation and departure from the abbey, Lucas is taken in at the inn by his brother. but Patrick dissuades him from sounding the alarm about Béranger, for fear of spoiling the Fête des Roches. While the party is in full swing, Chloé understands that Béranger is going to take advantage of this event to attack a child from the village.
