De nieuwkomer Серия 1

Exactly five years after leaving the EU, what has become of the most important Brexit promise: drastic restrictions on immigration? Tim de Wit returns to the apartment where his correspondentship in the UK began and looks back on his nerves and stress at that time. He meets the country's most notorious tabloid journalist, who still hunts for migrants with his camera. And he sees how his date from the time, also an immigrant, has now built a successful company.

How are things going in the UK's deprived areas? Tim de Wit goes to the place that received the most EU subsidies and ends up in the beauty salon of a young entrepreneur.
