Never Never Again Land Episode 2

Martin web drifts pixyland.org, the home page of Peter Pan. Or at least the home page of a guy named Randy Constan, who has something of an obsession with dressing up as Peter Pan. Many Americans might jump to conclusions when presented with a 56-year old Florida man who dresses like Peter Pan as well as other sundry tutu and slipper-wearing pixies, Little Boy Blue, bunny rabbits, and school girls. The man also decorates his house with stuffed animals and porcelain figurines and prefers to skip rather than walk. But most of the assumptions your narrow mind has cooked up about this man would be dead wrong. In fact, this Internet phenom fairy, who talks like a Brooklyn can driver, could almost assuredly kick your ass and steal your gal, and that's not even the biggest surprise. Watch Web Drifter Episode 5: Never, Never Again Land, now! (Bonus: If you really want to do your inner child a favor, buy his fantastic new album).

The Old Man & The Bigfoot Episode 3

Martin heads to Bigfoot Country to track the elusive beast, teaming up with a cagey old mountain man who proves to be a fierce and invaluable asset. For untold millenia, the legend of Bigfoot has been whispered around campfires. And now, the legend continues to spread on the internet, at sites like Our Bigfoot, BFRO (The Bigfoot Field Researchers Association), Bigfoot Encounters, and Bigfoot: The Original Monster Truck. On this week's heart-pounding episode of Web Drifter, Martin Sargent journeys behind the websites, deep into the Bigfoot country of Northern California's redwood forests, to seek the hairy truth. There, at the Bigfoot Museum in the tiny but proud mountain town of Willow Creek, Martin meets a fierce old Bigfoot hunter by name of Al Hodson, who gives him tips on how to track one of the giant beasts. Tips that prove invaluable in our hero's life-altering hunt for Sasquatch. After Episode 6: The Old Man & The Bigfoot, Martin, nor the misty forests, shall ever be the same...

Better Wear Your Waders Episode 5

There is an old man who lives in the swamps. This old man wears nothing but rubber. But not to stay dry. He wears it to keep the wetness in. Professional web drifters go deep. They spelunk the darkest, wettest, most horrifying caverns on Internet where few dare travel for fear that they might never find their way back to The Light. It was during one of these extraordinarily deep Internet explorations that I came upon the phantasmagoric realm of LeatherOaks.org. Yes, Leather Oaks is the place, existing at the end of a maze of crazy back roads deep in the swamps of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, but Harold Ivey is the man who created the place. And Harold's creation, online and in the physical realm, is a dark chamber of leather, vinyl and rubber, all fitting snuggly to contain sundry fluids against the body, from swamp mud to pool water to the unspeakable juices that pulse forth from man. And Harold himself? Will he horrify you, with his gnarled old man's body and hundreds of ornately constructed leather, rubber and vinyl play suits? Will he incense you, with his troops of rubber fetish men and massive jock-up collection? Will he terrify you, with his wizard's tower of bondage swings, suits of armor and pony saddles? Or will all of his obsessions come together to titillate you in ways you never imagined they could? There is only one way to find out, web drifters. Journey with me now down those crazy southern back roads to the deep, murky swamps to experience Leather Oaks. And if you're coming, better wear your waders.

I Believe That Star Kids Are Our Future Episode 8

Come along as Martin web drifts the site of an esteemed psychology professor who believes that gifted children are infused with extra-terrestrial DNA. Dr. Richard Boylan has lots of letters after his name. Ph.D., MSW, M.S. Ed., and B.A. But that's not the reason he's the subject of this week's Web Drifter. No, he made the cut because he's the founder of Star Kids Project, Ltd., a non-profit educational and training program for young and mature Star Seeds (people who have been infused with extra-terrestrial DNA). Martin journeys to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains to meet Dr. Boylan and learn about some of the 1400 alien races that comprise the Star Nations and also to find out if he, himself, is a Star Seed. If Martin is, in fact, a Star Seed, he'd be in good company. Dr. Boylan says that other Star Seeds include Barack Obama, Bono, and Ellen DeGeneres, to name but a few. Want to find out if you're a Star Seed too? Take Dr. Boylan's questionnaire.

Galactic Messenger Episode 9

Martin spends the day at a commune where the residents wait for the day when we all make full contact with Galactica, the eternal, enlightened civilization of the universe. In 1947, a 31-year old Allen Michael was painting when a shaft of ultraviolet light entwined with gold threads enveloped him, and his entity was lifted up into a spaceship. While in the spaceship, a voice asked him if he would be the spiritual Comforter, to give supernatural truth to the world. He accepted. Allen Michael continued, and continues to this day, to be in contact with Galactica, and the words of what would be written down as The Everlasting Gospel were channeled through him. This new world bible heralds the total transformation of this world into a space age paradise. In the 1967, The One World Family Commune came together in San Francisco and recognized Allen Michael to be a master spiritual adept beyond anything anyone had ever encountered. At its height, The One World Family Commune had over 200 members. Today, seven of them still live together, with Allen Michael-now 91 years old-in Northern California. And on this episode of Web Drifter, Martin visits them to learn the secrets of The Universe...

Open Up and Say, Ohhhh! Episode 10

Martin web drifts the site of a doctor and his wife who "treat" people that get turned on by hospitals and medical devices. After watching this, you may stop Tivoing "Grey's Anatomy." You don't have to spend much time on the Internet to realize that it's just lousy with perved out weirdos. There's a website for every sexual fetish you can imagine, and many more for ones you could never, ever imagine. Turned on by women coughing? Here you go. How about having sex with ferocious monsters? Go wild. Now, you're probably thinking: that's all pretty tame stuff. Okay, hotshot, how about being mummified in Ace Bandages with an buzzing electric catheter up your urethra and a cold steel speculum spreading your ass open to ready it for your hot vodka enema? Chances are when you played doctor as a kid, none of that was involved. Unless perhaps you grew up in Germany. But that's precisely the kind of malpractice that goes on at MedicalToys.com. People who get turned on by hospitals and medical devices likely set this remarkably bizarre site as their home page. WebMD this is not. And if you're really into this kind of thing, you can travel to far northern California to the clinic of Dr. Sebastian Wood and Nurse Laural to do a little more than turn your head and cough. Martin Sargent checked in to that very clinic, and he'll be the first to tell you that spending 45 minutes in a straight jacket and a sensory deprivation gimp mask while being wheeled around on a gurney will forever change a man in fundamental, elemental ways. And you thought getting a prostate exam was uncomfortable.... Watch it!

A Day in the Eternal Life of Alex Chiu Episode 11

How much would you pay for immortality? How about $28? Genius inventor Alex Chiu has made it possible. But after you meet him, you might want to make sure it's not just you and him living in eternity... Hey Web Drifters. Martin Sargent here. My skin is very dry. I look like a Reptoid. That's because all last week, I was web drifting in the deserts of Arizona. And Jesus and Baby Jesus, what an adventure it was. We met guys who think the earth is hollow and plan on moving down there by entering a hole in the North Pole, and an old man who doesn't eat or drink yet can lift 900 pounds, and some mystics who took me to a powerful vortex in Sedona with promises that it would heal my horrific injuries. We also went hunting extra-terrestrials and hung out with a real life superhero. And because of last week's jam-packed web drifting schedule, we've decided to re-release the episode that started it all: A Day in the Eternal Life of Alex Chiu. Those of you who have watched Infected have gotten to know Alex Chiu. He was on that dearly departed show all the time. You learned about all of his wondrous inventions, from The Machine That Heals The Handicaps and The GorgeousPil to Super Chi Flush and Spell Casting. But the invention that started it all was the Immortality Device: two cheaply made plastic rings with magnets on them that promise to give their wearer eternal life. This is, in my mind, our greatest episode ever. But maybe that's just because Alex Chiu is my favorite living American. And after you watch this lost episode of Web Drifter, I can pretty much guarantee you'll hold him in as high esteem as I do. Not that I'd want to live with him in eternity...

Voyage to Hollow Earth Episode 12

A group of people led by Rodney Cluff are planning a ship's voyage to the North Pole, where they believe there's a hole that leads to a paradisaical civilization inside the earth. And you're invited to journey there with them... We're in Sun City, Arizona and man, this place is shockingly weird. It's a community that sprang out of the desert near Phoenix in the 1960s for old people from the north, sick of shoveling snow, to winter in. It's a meticulously planned township and as such doesn't seem at all real. It's like a Social Security version of the suburban dystopia of Edward Scissorhands. Take a look at this aerial view of the place and then zoom in with your mind to one of those tiny, eerily silent, adjoined houses. I'm standing out in front of it, ready to ring the doorbell to meet our Web Drifting target, Rodney Cluff. Standing outside Rodney's house, a house that looks exactly like the hundreds of others it's adjoined to, you'd never guess that such a mind-bogglingly revolutionary plan is being developed within. A plan that, if it works, will forever change the course of human existence. Rodney, you see, is a Hollow Earther. His website, OurHollowEarth.com, will tell you all about it. Essentially, he's one of a very, very small percentage of people, most of whom, strangely enough, are, like Rodney, Mormon, who believe that the earth is not filled with rock and magma and molten nickel, but rather with another world. A better world. A paradise populated by a highly advanced, peaceful, superior race of beings. It's where the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel got lost to as well as the Vikings and other global dropouts. And not surprisingly, Rodney wants to go there to be part of it all. Best part is, you're invited to journey there with him. Rodney, in association with a physicist and explorer who also hosts a paranormal Internet radio show named Dr. Brooks Agnew of the Phoenix Science Foundation, is planning a voyage to Hollow Earth. They're trying to secur

Through the Worm Hole Episode 13

Martin visits a brilliant scientist who says a wormhole to another dimension opens in his living room. Will our hero travel through it? Dr. Fred Bell is a super genius. At the tender age of 14 he was not only working at the University of Michigan on nuclear energy projects, but was also inducted into the U.S. government's research into mind control, dubbed M.K. Ultra. While still a teenager, he worked on the Philadelphia Experiment and cold fusion, and then went on to do top secret work for the Air Force as well as NASA. Maybe it's because he's such a genius that, while studying with Himalayan masters, the aliens started talking to him. And once he started to understand alien technology, his scientific achievements started to get really impressive. There are far too many to list, but take, for example, the Andromedan Holographic Projector, which allows the operator to manipulate space and time conditions. Best of all, many of his inventions are up for sale on his website. But the reason I sought out this genius was to investigate claims that a wormhole open up in his living room. A wormhole that I travel through in this edition of Web Drifter.

Double Crazy With Cheese Episode 15

Wiley Brooks is a Breatharian. That means he's capable of living without eating or drinking, subsisting only on the air around him. Too bad he has a thing for McDonald's Double Quarter Pounders with Cheese. I've encountered a lot of strangeness on that twisty, turny, Web Drifting road, but Wiley Brooks might take the cake. Actually, he wouldn't take the cake, because he doesn't need to eat. Wiley is a Breatharian, and runs the website Breatharian.com. Breatharians are enlightened souls who do not need food. They get all the nourishment from the air they breathe. And if that weren't amazing enough, Wiley, who must weigh about 140 soaking wet, can lift 900 pounds. Sounds nuts, but he did it in front of millions of Americans in 1981 when he appeared on the television program "That's Incredible!" Best part is Wiley is willing to teach you how to become a Breatharian, as well as how to ascend to the Eden that is the 5th Dimension. All that's required to sign up for the training is a voracious appetite for 5th Dimsension food (exclusively McDonald's Double Quarter Pounders with Cheese and Diet Coke-yeah, not sure how that jives with the whole not eating thing) and the tuition fee, which currently stands at $20 million. But given how cool life in the 5th Dimension sounds, that's a great value. Why would anyone pay the exact amount to the Russian space program go to into orbit in a Soyez Rocket? No Web Drifter in their right mind would.

A Real Witch Episode 16

Martin spends a lazy afternoon at the Pagan Pride Festival with one of the most powerful witches in the known realms, Macha NightMare. Call most women a witch and they're liable to come at you with some fingernails. But not Macha NightMare. She prefers it. Because Macha NightMare is, in fact, a witch. She cackles. She casts spells. And she spends the afternoon with me at the Pagan Pride Festival, teaching me what it's all about. I learned a lot from her and the other pagans that day. First of all, pagans don't eat the still beating hearts of sacrificed animals. They eat BBQ, and the brisket they were grilling at the Pagan Pride Festival was absolutely wonderful, if a tad rare. Second, with all the medieval outfits, staves, swords, ponytails and fat legs extending from the bottom cuffs of jean shorts, if you woke up in the middle of a Pagan Pride Festival you'd think for sure you were at a live action role-playing game. And third, Pagans are nice people who should be proud. Their message is one of peace, love and acceptance, and who wouldn't find a little magic in that? But enough with my thoughts. Let's hear about paganism and witchcraft straight from the witch's mouth on this episode of Web Drifter.

My Day in the Vortex Episode 17

Martin heads to the powerful vortexes of Sedona, Arizona and meets some wise spirit guides who offer to facilitate some mystical healing. But regrettably, our hero goes about it all the wrong way... Sedona, Arizona is a powerful place. Famous for its stunning red rock formations that glow brilliantly in the rising and setting sun, from the days of the Yavapai Native Americans the area has been revered as a sacred center of mystical might. I had long heard tales about the vortexes that riddle the gorgeous landscape and how they might purify and enhance the soul if treated respectfully. Vortexes are areas of spiraling spiritual energy existing across many dimensions that facilitate prayer, meditation and healing. But it is not something that I can explain to you. It is something that you must experience for yourself. Hoping to heal what ails me, I set out to Sedona to meet my guides, Harold Vaughn and Mark Griffon of Sedona Mystical Tours. Though there are some fifty different tour companies in Sedona that will take you to the vortexes, something within me told me to go with these guys, and I'm glad I did. Clearly, some higher force had led me to them. They are the real deal, and if you ever head to Sedona for your own self-discovery experience, I highly recommend their services. Harold and Mark are the types of guys whom, when you're in their presence, radiate wisdom and deep understanding. They are true spirit guides, not just tour operators looking for profit. And that's why I feel so badly that the burning sage they enveloped me in as we stood atop the red rock plateau of the Cathedral vortex caused me to sneeze violently, scattering the sacred ashes all over the red sandstone like so much bong refuse. I cringe to admit it, but I think what I did is roughly equivalent to pissing in the holy water at Notre Dame Cathedral. I hope I didn't infuriate the gods and make myself worse off than before I set out on my journey, but that's for you to determine fo

The Alien Scalpel Episode 18

If you've come to this episode of Web Drifter looking for crazy, you're about to be disappointed. But if you've come looking for creepy and weird, we're about to make your day. If you've come to this episode of Web Drifter looking for crazy, you're about to be disappointed. But if you've come looking for creepy and weird, we're about to make your day. Dr. Roger Leir isn't your typical Web Drifter target. He has a thriving podiatry practice in Thousand Oaks, just outside of Los Angeles. In talking to him, he comes off as quite sane and learned. Moreover, the nurses and staff at his practice seem to have a good deal of respect for him. And on the walls of his examining room you'll see signed headshots of the many celebrities he's fixed the feet of. So given all this, why would we put him on the show? Well, to say Dr. Leir is just a well-regarded doctor to the stars is inadequate. No, he's a marvelous topic for Web Drifter because he's also a doctor to people who get stuff implanted in their bodies from beyond the stars. Really weird alien stuff that no one can provide a compelling, non-extra terrestrial argument as to how it got there. But regardless of how these things got in, Dr. Leir and his steady scalpel can take them out. Dr. Leir has extracted about a baker's dozen alien implants from his patients' bodies. And they're not merely things that people may not have noticed they stepped on while stumbling around drunk out back in the shed. There are usually no entry wounds, and the objects have bizarre characteristics such as radio signals emanating from them and the ability to move independently under the patient's skin. Typically, they're of an odd shape, comprised of an unknown element, and encased in a gelatinous membrane that cannot be cut using a surgeon's sharp scalpel. So what are these things, and from where did they come? Is Dr. Leir just sick of examining peoples' filthy, diseased feet and looking for the excitement of lecturing at UFO confe

Come On, Feel the Noise Episode 21

Is it possible to heal pain and disease using sound? Tonal healer Wayne Perry says yes, and he gives Martin an ear full. According to sound therapist Wayne Perry, "All pain and disease is a result of a lack of vibrational harmony in the body. This results in vibrational dissonance. This dissonance may manifest on any, or all levels in the body - physical, emotional, mental, etc." Well, I headed down to Los Angeles to meet Mr. Perry to see if this statement rung true or if it was just a lot of noise. And though my body is not 100% sound, I can tell you with 100% certainty that this man is not just whistling Dixie. No, he's definitely on to something. Your body's vibrational register is of course different from mine so it won't be anywhere near a perfect therapy session, but when you get to the part of the episode where Mr. Perry begins his tonal healing, close your eyes, turn up the volume, and let the sound of his voice run through you. I guarantee you'll feel something, and potentially a whole lot of something. And if you do, you might want to look into buying one of his CDs, available on his site at WaynePerry.com

The Spirit of the First Season Episode 22

A retrospective of the first season of Web Drifter. Web Drifter is the most fun I've ever had in my career, and also the show I'm most proud of. Traveling around America with my producer Jay Speiden and cameraman Glenn McElhose (and sometimes Joey), you have no idea the kinds of insane adventures we had. The footage you saw of UFO cult leaders, Bigfoot hunters and wizards might seem wildly bizarre, but you should see what went on behind the scenes. And I wish we had all that footage on tape as well, because a show that shows what goes on behind the show that goes behind the website would be a pretty amazing show in its own right... People often ask me how I keep a straight face when I'm talking to the stars of Web Drifter. And the answer is, I'm simply too fascinated by what these people are telling me to laugh, for fear I might miss something. And in many cases, like immortality ring inventor Alex Chiu, swamp-dwelling rubber fetishist Harold Ivey, Peter Pan Guy Randy Constan, Allen Michael and members of the One World Family, and many others, they have become friends with whom I still keep in regular contact. So to wrap up Season One, we've put together a video retrospective of our favorite moments. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did putting it together, and very much look forward to bringing you Season Two in the fall. I hope you'll be here to once again ride shotgun.
