Charley walks home from work. His wife Alice manages family issues. Janey cares for declining Ida as Mario struggles with grandma's condition. Tamara's health necessitates extra work hours. Charley bonds with Alec through shared grief.

Charley cares for Mason, a client who body has been ravaged by his lifelong struggles with anorexia. Tamara tends to a shy, terminally ill woman, Callie, and her overbearing older sister, Harper, who pits Scott against Tamara.
