Having joined forces with Swen and sworn revenge, Rua agrees to serve as the "Rose Princess" at the birthday festival as part of their plan.

Upon hearing Rua practicing the assigned piece, Nerune rushes into the piano room. Rua, facing Nerune’s hostility, declares that she has no intention of stepping down from the role of the Rose Princess. Finally, the curtain rises on the Birthday Festival.

While going around distributing roses, Rua runs into Charlotte in the city and learns about the customs the townspeople observe during the Festival of Birth. On the second day of the festival, she browses the market stalls during a brief moment of free time and unexpectedly encounters someone she knows.

On the final night of the birthday festival, Rua begins her performance. Meanwhile, Nerune is seen having tampered with the stage. Swen appears and quietly informs her that he is fully aware of everything she has done.

Delighted with the perfume he was gifted, Swen tells Rua that there is something he wishes to discuss with her once his revenge is complete. As the days pass peacefully following the conclusion of the birthday festival, Rua—thanks to arrangements made by Diana—visits the Peridot ducal residence to learn the truth about her family’s death.

The story shifts back to her childhood—at the Restat estate, Rua spent peaceful days with her younger brother, Luit, and her parents. One day, her mother arranged for Rua alone to stay overnight at the residence of a neighboring lord. While accompanying her, Louise—on her way back through the woods to retrieve a forgotten item—overheard a conversation between two strangers.
