A young cavalry officer and heir to a noble family travels to southern Thailand on his grandmother’s orders to find Massaya, a spirited young woman who is part of his extended family. After meeting her, he brings her back to Bangkok, where she must adjust to the traditions and expectations of an aristocratic household. With his help and guidance, the two grow closer, but family expectations and an arranged engagement threaten to complicate their relationship.
