The dancer Nastya Beletskaya, Kachura’s school friend, whom he had a crush on, returns to her native Zarechye. The lieutenant can hardly recognize the temperamental and strong Nastya he remembered in the subdued and silent girl. During the investigation of the crimes that have shaken Zarechye, Kachura’s work and personal experiences turn out to be intertwined: Nastya Beletskaya becomes one of the suspects in the criminal case, and her criminal past is also revealed. Nastya does not admit her guilt and conducts her own investigation, just like Lieutenant Kachura, who himself turns out to be a suspect. Meanwhile, the investigation brings all the initiated criminal cases together…
