Hülya is a beautiful, ambitious young woman from a humble background who has won a scholarship to college. Her mother is a seamstress, while her older sister covers the household expenses and the costs of Hülya’s education. At college, Hülya meets Neslihan, the daughter of a wealthy family, who opens the doors to the glamorous world Hülya has always dreamed of. Meanwhile, Hülya is impressed by Dr. Sarp, whom she meets, and believes he is also part of that world. As the return of Erim, her childhood sweetheart, from London draws near, Neslihan grows increasingly anxious. She harbors a secret she cannot tell Erim. By being there for Neslihan in her moments of vulnerability, Hülya wins her trust and friendship. As she immerses herself in the lives she has always observed from afar, Hülya finds herself at the center of increasingly complex relationships. However, while Erim's interest in Hülya gradually increases, the feelings Hülya denied toward Sarp begin to show themselves.
