Hairdressing duo Jeffrey and Michael think Benidorm is the perfect spot for a genuine Dutch hair salon. Partners in both life and business for twenty years, they are looking to make a fresh start in Spain after a devastating bankruptcy in the Netherlands. Life looks much sunnier on the coast, but their dream soon clashes with a harsh reality.

Phil, Yvette, and their two teenagers are trading Limburg for a new life near South Africa’s Kruger Park. For this entrepreneurial family, setting up a luxury safari lodge with no prior experience is a major leap into the unknown. Surrounded by the Big Five and other dangerous wildlife, they have to adjust to the cultural differences of their new home all while the lodge renovation spirals increasingly out of control.

Oscar impulsively leaves everything behind to pursue his dream: running a hotel in the mountains of Andalusia, Spain. Brothers Ramon and Boy are emigrating with their families including four children in total to Torrevieja in southern Spain. They are trading their successful solar panel business for a "poffertjes" (mini-pancake) stall, despite having no prior experience in the hospitality industry. This raises the question of whether it is possible for two families to make a living from this new venture.
