When a body is found in the ghost train of the Palavas-les-Flots fair, Sandrine Laplace, a zealous meter maid, decides to lead an investigation, unbeknownst to her higher-ups. Even if that means putting herself in danger.

Undercover among the carnies, Sandrine finds herself embroiled and strays further from the law. Now linked to Yvanne and Carmen through a dark secret, there's no turning back.

Disturbing events multiply. Yvanne descends into paranoia. Her relationship with Carmen, growing ever tense, makes Sandrine question all her theories. Meanwhile, Carmen finds herself in danger.

Fraco's plans are brought to light. That's all it takes for two carny families to declare war, leaving Sandrine alone to investigate. A little too alone when faced with a killer on the loose.

While a new lead materializes, Sandrine, Carmen, and Yvanne decide to join forces and follow the trail of a troubling suspect, but appearances can be deceiving…

Nothing is as it should be at the fair. As murders multiply, the perpetrator seems unstoppable. However, Sandrine, Yvanne and Carmen have never been so close to solving the case. And if the legend of the Muerte Sin Cara were true?

Sandrine explores a lead from the past when hers catches up with her. It all seems to begin in 1968 with the disappearance of a child at the fair, and seems to end in sacrifice…

While the Queen of the Fair elections are in full swing, Sandrine is the only one that knows the monster is still on the loose. Will she be able to warn Carmen and Yvanne in time?
