Franco witnesses the assault on Sofía’s house on the very day he was supposed to introduce himself to ask for work. Sofía confesses how difficult her marriage has been and how excluded she feels by her husband, Gonzalo, even coming to think he no longer loves her as before. Sofía goes to the prison where Franco is being held for the fight he got involved in. After paying bail, he accepts again the job she offered him. Carlo and Barbi go to the crime scene to see if they can find anything to prove Sofía’s innocence. Aramís confirms to Victorio that there’s a possibility Sofía’s twin sister is responsible for Georgina’s death, having returned seeking revenge. Aramís, consumed by rage and fury, decides to find out who murdered his daughter, thus identifying his first suspect: “Bulldog.” Overwhelmed by her problems and feeling guilty about Georgina’s death, Sofía makes the painful decision to end her relationship with Franco to avoid hurting him even more.

Aramís visits Sofía to tell her that she will be released on probation while the investigation into Georgina continues. Devastated by the loss of her mother, Rex declares war on the Peralta-Avitia family, convinced that they took her mother away from her. Rex feels that Salvador isn’t on his side and only supports Barbi, sensing his lack of empathy for Rex’s loss. Franco breaks down in tears in front of Sofía, revealing the deep sadness he feels over Georgina’s death. Heartbroken, he confesses that her loss hurts him deeply, as she was his first love.

Sofía arrives at the Limóns’ apartment to face the accusations against her, but discovers an unexpected truth: Professor Altagracia is, in fact, her father’s secret lover. Aramís flies into a rage at Inés after discovering that she broke their agreement to stay away from his family. Furious at her betrayal, he decides to end the relationship and forces her to leave the apartment. Franco tells Sofía that, for the sake of the new chapter they hope to build together, he has decided to stop working for her. Inés arrives at Salvador’s house to reveal a truth that will change his life: she is his real mother, not Professor Altagracia.

Barbi puts an end to her lies by confessing to her mother that she made up the story about being pregnant so she wouldn’t have to admit to her eating disorder. Inés arrives at Salvador’s house furious to set the record straight, revealing that Rex is neither Franco’s nor Georgina’s daughter. Upon discovering who her real mother is, Salvador shows his contempt. Franco breaks the promise he made to Georgina by confessing to Rex that she is the daughter of Catalina and Julián.

Rex, overwhelmed by her lies, breaks down and runs away from her father’s lectures. She runs into Julián and tries to confess everything. Victorio, to free himself from his lies, reveals to Sofía that her father killed the Bulldog. Andromeda introduces herself to Inés as Sofía’s twin sister. Franco can’t take it anymore and reveals to Catalina and Julián that Rex is his daughter.

The truth about Rex’s origins shatters the trust between Sofía and Franco. Convinced that he betrayed her by hiding such an important secret, Sofía is devastated. Aramís goes looking for Rex after discovering that she is Catalina’s daughter. However, Catalina already knows the truth and confronts him, blaming him for making her believe for years that she had lost her daughter. Victorio takes advantage of Sofía’s difficult situation, while the investigation into her alleged involvement in Georgina’s death continues. Seeing her vulnerability, he tries to kiss her, taking her by surprise. Rex decides to end his relationship with Chava after realizing that their lives have taken different paths. He also accepts that he still loves Barbi and that he will never be able to give his heart completely to her.

Julián storms in, furious, to confront Aramís, determined to put an end to the suffering Aramís has caused him for years. He is convinced that Aramís is responsible for taking his family away from him. Grecia decides to reveal the truth to Sofía and open her eyes. Without hesitation, she confesses that she is having a secret relationship with Gonzalo and that the child she is expecting is his. Catalina confronts Inés after discovering her involvement in her daughter’s disappearance. Carlo and Rex discover that Monik lied about her true financial situation. When she’s exposed, Monik explodes with rage at having her secret revealed. Barbi learns that her mother will likely have her uterus removed, so she immediately becomes extremely worried, imagining the worst. Sofía, about to go into surgery, asks Franco to take good care of Barbi and stay by her side in case anything happens to her. Andrómeda manages to switch places with Sofía, so when she wakes up, she starts acting differently and slaps Barbi, putting everyone in an awkward situation, as they all realize that something is wrong.

Catalina discovers that the pills given to Gina were the same ones used to attack criminals in Argentina, leading her to conclude that her father’s enemies were responsible for the attack on Gina. Monik arrives at Carlo’s house in a hysterical state to ask him for money, but when he refuses, she threatens him. Andrómeda takes advantage of the fact that no one suspects the body swap with Sofía to get back together with Franco. However, he notices something strange about their kisses. Emma, upon seeing “Sofía” (Andrómeda) arguing with her family, decides to leave, but accidentally spills food on her, causing Andrómeda to fly into a rage and fire her.

Grecia visits Sofía, who is unconscious, and celebrates the fact that her life will soon be ruined. Limón falls madly in love and decides to propose to Rulo, who is unsure whether to accept, since he isn’t gay. Andrómeda, determined to take everything from Sofía, asks Franco to make love to her. Bolero, realizing Victorio’s negligence, asks the doctor to administer another medication so that Sofía can recover and regain consciousness.

Rex confronts Aramís and makes it clear that if he truly wants his forgiveness, he must first take responsibility for all the victims. Salvador asks Barbi to be his girlfriend, showing her his divorce papers to prove that his intentions are serious. Andrómeda, pretending to be Sofía, reveals to Barbi that Grecia is her father Gonzalo’s mistress. Sofía wakes up from the state she was kept in as part of Andrómeda and Victorio’s plan, thanks to Bolero’s intervention, who switched the medications she was taking.

Sofía receives an unexpected visitor while she is in the hospital. Upon seeing her, she is completely shocked to discover that it is a woman who looks exactly like her: her twin sister, Andrómeda.

Andrómeda appears before Sofía and reveals that she is her twin sister, explaining that Aramís abandoned her many years ago. Consumed by pain and resentment, she warns Sofía that she is now determined to make her entire family suffer just as she has suffered. Franco begins to suspect that something is wrong with “Sofía,” as he notices a change in her personality and no longer feels the same way around her. He also grows increasingly concerned upon discovering that she doesn’t remember details of their relationship. Barbi confronts Monik about her web of lies and makes her confess the truth: their friendship was a strategy to manipulate her and gain a new social status. Andrómeda, disguised as Sofía, continues her manipulative games and manages to kiss Gonzalo at Grecia’s apartment. Her plan works when Grecia catches them together.

Bolero decides to take the next step with Marisol and proposes to her. Grecia lashes out at Andrómeda when she sees her with Gonzalo, but Andrómeda gives her a reality check. Andrómeda bares her legs, revealing her scars, but Franco walks in without knocking and catches them. Franco, convinced that “Sofia” isn’t really her, tells Catalina that they might have switched her out.

Franco, with Julián’s help, decides to take a DNA test to find out if “Sofía” is who she claims to be or if she’s his twin sister. Andrómeda sends for Aramís, but greets him with a harsh blow. Gonzalo contacts Franco to tell him he wants to help rescue Sofía after discovering the whole truth. Barbi reveals to Gonzalo that Sofía has a twin sister, leaving him stunned as he realizes that everything is starting to make sense. Chava and Franco try to convince Bolero to reveal the whole truth about Sofía’s twin sister, as they suspect he knows everything.

Andrómeda organizes an event to expose Aramís’s business dealings and reveal him as a criminal, but Sofía shows up to reveal that she was impersonated by her twin sister. Gonzalo is arrested for the crimes Victorio used to link him to Aramís’s shady business dealings, while Aramís is released and avoids paying for his crimes. Franco confesses to Sofía that, during her absence, Andrómeda tried to seduce him and even kissed him while pretending to be her. Bolero is arrested after being implicated as Andrómeda’s accomplice, leaving Mia deeply saddened by his arrest.

Carlo breaks down in tears upon discovering that everyone despises him because of his father’s crimes, which cost him his job. However, upon seeing him like this, Rex confesses that he has strong feelings for him. Andrómeda asks Inés to get rid of Grecia’s baby, as she considers it an obstacle to her plans. Gonzalo and Bolero are sent to prison before their trial, convinced that it’s all part of Aramís’s plan. Aramís hires men to make Bolero and Gonzalo’s lives a living hell in prison, proving that he will not forgive those he believes have betrayed him.

Grecia urgently calls Andrómeda asking for help, as she is experiencing severe abdominal pain and fears she might lose her baby. But her response reveals that it was Andromeda who ordered her to terminate her pregnancy. Franco tells Sofía that he’s very excited about the idea of them having a baby together. Salvador takes a big step in his relationship with Barbi and decides to propose to her. Andromeda sets up a meeting with Aramís to finally eliminate him.

Even though Andromeda spared her father’s life, he remains in critical condition, with his motor functions severely impaired. Grecia confronts Andromeda for not killing Aramís and, in a fit of rage, kills her. Months later, Gonzalo proves his innocence and arrives with Grecia to start a family, but her behavior leaves him perplexed. Franco questions Sofía about her recent cravings, leading both of them to suspect—and then confirm with a pregnancy test—that they are expecting a baby.

Gonzalo notices that Grecia is showing signs of rejection toward the baby and seems indifferent to him, which leads him to suspect that she may be suffering from postpartum depression. Rulo decides to confess that he isn’t in love with Limón and that, for that reason, he can’t go through with the wedding. He also reveals that, in fact, he is in love with Cariño. Grecia threatens Bolero, saying she’ll hurt Marisol and Mía if he dares to reveal the truth about the relationship they had while working together. Monik shows up at Barbi and Salvador’s wedding to cause a scene and threatens to kill Barbi, whom she considers arrogant.

After the incident caused by Monik’s interruption at the wedding, Barbi and Salvador continue the celebration without a hitch, leaving all their family members happy about the engagement. Grecia goes to the hospital to talk to Victorio and offers to help him escape, with the intention of ending Aramís’s life. Aramís goes to see Sofía and Barbi to apologize for everything they had to endure because of his business dealings and for the suffering he caused them. Salvador and Barbi finally enjoy their wedding night after all the ups and downs they faced on their wedding day.

Franco takes Sofía to Quetzalcoatl Park to ask her a question that will change their lives: he proposes to her in a romantic gesture that completely takes her by surprise. Aramís goes to Rex to apologize for everything that happened between them, but Rex coldly rejects him, convinced that, despite everything, Aramís is still the same person. Gonzalo, worried because his baby won’t stop crying, rushes him to the doctor. There, he receives terrible news: the boy has suffered a serious injury, so the doctors need to contact Child Protective Services. Sofía receives a warning from Catalina: Victorio has escaped from the hospital security guards, putting everyone in danger once again.

Aramís takes the eye drops that Grecia gave to Inés, and while trying to put them in, he burns Inés’s eye. Monik shows up at Chava’s house to confess to Rex that she was the one who hit her with the car. Franco and Sofía get married after overcoming all the obstacles. Grecia arrives at Sofía’s mansion with the police to see her son, claiming that Gonzalo was the one who hurt the baby.

Inés confronts Barbi about her marriage to Chava and tells her some hard truths. Victorio follows Grecia's plan and attacks Franco, leaving him seriously injured. Sofía tries to escape, but Victorio captures her. Monik seeks out Barbi to apologize, as she truly loves her as a friend. Sofía goes into cardiac arrest during childbirth, and Franco faints.

Aramís sets a trap to blow up the van transporting Victorio to his trial, intending to eliminate him and prevent him from revealing information that could incriminate him in his crimes. Salvador realizes the complications of having Barbi living in his house and suggests that she return home to avoid further problems. Grecia throws Aramís into the shaft of a broken elevator, intending to end his life and carry out her plan for revenge. Grecia’s final plan against Aramís’s family is put into action when she sabotages the ventilation system of the car in which Sofía and Barbi are traveling, with the intention of capturing them.

Grecia holds Sofía and Barbi captive with a bomb, determined to end their lives as part of her plan for revenge. Grecia is captured by Ramsés, a former business partner of Aramis who plans to take control of all his businesses. He decides to bury her alive in a trench filled with cement to end her life. Salvador and Barbi announce to the family that they are expecting a baby, filling everyone with joy at the exciting news. Sofía has a happy ending with her loved ones, celebrating the birth of her new baby and the release of her book, “The Guardian of the Orchid.”
