For the first time, The Big Baking Competition is introducing the 'Danger Zone' - an elimination round where the participants who have done the worst will have to compete to stay in the competition. The five men and five women will have to bake their way through themes such as Great Britain, Halloween, berries and decorating techniques, birthdays, and an extra surprising theme for weeks. Throughout the season, there will be lots of experienced and cake-loving guests from both Denmark and abroad. Cherries play one of the important leading roles in the classic 'Black forest cake', or Schwarzwälder kirschtorte, as Markus would call it in German. The participants must give their personal take on the berry-filled layer cake. The secret challenge requires both drawing skills, with colored dough, and high speed when the participants have to bake and roll the perfect berry roulades. In the Danger Zone, it's good to have experience and dexterity when the cream puff should hide a fresh berry.
