In the 1970s, the fishing industry declined, and fishermen moored their boats in typhoon shelters for a long time, and they were called boat owners. In Wah Fu Village, public housing estates known as "civilian mansions" were not popular when they were built one after another in 1967? In 1978, the government launched the Home Ownership Scheme, and the first phase of Sui Wo Court in Sha Tin was very popular. Private housing estates also began to appear in those days. Half a century ago, there were gatekeepers and conductors on buses, and it took half an hour to wait for the bus. Later, there were double-decker buses, minibuses and subways, and the situation improved. There is no submarine tunnel, and cars have to take a boat to cross the sea. In the past, people said that "I do not make a head start." However, in the last century, industry supported the entire Hong Kong economy, and in its heyday accounted for about one-third of the GDP. Nearly half of the "wage earners" are engaged in the manufacturing industry. I believe everyone has an impression of many classic products made in Hong Kong that year. Knitting factories, hardware factories, toy factories, electrical appliances factories, etc. are really countless. Do you still remember the days when the market was good, the stock market was booming, and the "shark fin fishing for rice"? The trade fair put forward the slogan "Hong Kong people use Hong Kong goods", and the trade fair lady election. With the decline of industry, Hong Kong's economy has been supported by tourism and service industries.

Episode 6 Aflevering 6

In the 1960s and 1970s, a large number of people came to Hong Kong from the Mainland. In the days when there were no supermarkets, it was not an easy task to buy Qichai, rice, oil, salt, sauce and vinegar tea. Offices and restaurants provided conveniences. The years of rice shop and rice are still fresh in my memory. Before the 1980s, packaged meals were also called Fu Shi, or welfare meals. Some bosses would provide lunch to their employees. The government lottery was introduced in 1962. Each bet sells for two yuan. You have to go to the Great Hall to see if you have won the lottery. In Hong Kong half a century ago, telephone booths on the street were used to make calls. Pagers appeared in the 1980s, and communication between people became more convenient.
