When the Soar Initiative, a program to recruit pilots from Hengshi internally, is abruptly terminated, flight attendant Ruan Si Xian decides to make one last-ditch effort. She hands her personal appeal to Vice President Fu Ming Yu during a flight.

Fu Ming Yu personally goes to the Qindao Flight Academy to try to recruit Ruan Si Xian, but she remains unmoved. She even says she will only consider it if 'the sun rises from the west.'

Ruan Si Xian deletes Fu Ming Yu's WeChat friend request and posts a complaint about it on her Moments. When Fu Ming Yu sees the post, he's even more convinced of Ruan Si Xian's animosity toward him.

Ruan Si Xian joins the flight crew in the takeoff procedures for the Z101's inaugural flight. As the aircraft lifts off the ground, she is moved to tears, recalling her difficult journey in pursuing her dream.

Early one morning, Chang Xiao Yi and her brother force their way into Ruan Si Xian's home to look for Yan An. Ruan Si Xian turns to Fu Ming Yu for help. He helps subdue Chang Xiao Wu and calls the police.

Fu Ming Yu finally faces the change in his feelings for Ruan Si Xian. Just when he decides to go see her, Yan An delivers his confession with fireworks.

When Ruan Si Xian learns that Fan Lei was grounded after an overweight landing triggered a warning in the QAR system, she storms off to the Hengshi office to confront Fu Ming Yu. The relationship between the two sinks to a new low.

Fu Ming Yu formally apologizes to Ruan Si Xian for his misunderstanding three years ago and for terminating the Soar Initiative. Ruan Si Xian states that she had gotten over it a long time ago. The two reach an agreement that they are even.

Ruan Si Xian is leading her flight crew to the business terminal for boarding when she comes across Fu Ming Yu and Zheng You An together. Zheng You An's attitude seems frosty, leading Ruan Si Xian to mistakenly believe that she is Fu Ming Yu's girlfriend.

When Fu Ming Yu learns that Dong Xian is Ruan Si Xian's biological mother, he realizes that Ruan Si Xian's moodiness stemmed from family conflict and wasn't directed at him. He feels even more sympathetic toward Ruan Si Xian.

Fu Ming Yu celebrates Ruan Si Xian's birthday with her, and the romantic tension between them reaches a tipping point. The next day, he is waiting downstairs for her, fully ready to take her to work like a boyfriend. Although Ruan Si Xian appears indifferent, deep down, she can't help but care.

Fu Ming Yu directly confesses his feelings, saying, I like you. Ruan Si Xian stubbornly denies it, but she can't hide her feelings.

Fu Ming Yu brings Ruan Si Xian on a date to Zhu Dong's birthday gathering. He holds her hand and cares for her, openly showing off their couple status.

Fu Ming Yu takes Ruan Si Xian to a high-end restaurant but has to leave suddenly due to an urgent matter. Zheng You An and Yan An are dating each other on a trial basis and come across Ruan Si Xian eating alone at the restaurant. Zheng You An claims that Yan An provides 'full emotional support', while Fu Ming Yu 'won't keep someone company for a meal'.

Ruan Si Xian has Lunar New Year's Eve reunion dinner with Fu Ming Yu, her first since her father passed away. Fu Ming Yu thoughtfully prepares the dinner, giving her a taste of 'home' once again.

On a flight that Ruan Si Xian is piloting, a passenger comments that Hengshi's use of female pilots makes them undependable, exposing a deep-seated prejudice against female pilots and leading to the flight being canceled.

He Lan Xiang has a hard time accepting that Ruan Si Xian is Dong Xian's daughter. Fu Ming Yu patiently explains it to her and also brings up the story of Ruan Si Xian selling her father's old house so she could attend the aviation academy. He Lan Xiang gradually softens and accepts Ruan Si Xian.

Ruan Si Xian takes the captain's exam, but Yue Yang deliberately makes it difficult for her, and she ends up failing the exam. Fu Ming Yu wants to confront Yue Yang, but Ruan Si Xian stops him.

An emergency occurs on the flight. Captain Yue Yang is incapacitated. Ruan Si Xian calmly takes over and issues a mayday signal.

The Safety Committee scrutinizes Ruan Si Xian's actions and even brings up Fu Ming Yu's relationship with her. Fu Ming Yu stands his ground and refuses to issue a grounding notice.

Ruan Si Xian moves out of Mingchen Apartments. Although Fu Ming Yu is reluctant to break up with Ruan Si Xian, he respects her decision.

Ruan Si Xian returns to her alma mater to give a speech, sharing her journey to becoming a pilot. Meanwhile, the QAR reform plan has been approved. As Fu Ming Yu watches a livestream of Ruan Si Xian's speech, he immediately goes to find her.

Ruan Si Xian brings Fu Ming Yu to visit her father's grave. She opens up about her childhood misunderstanding of her parents' divorce. Fu Ming Yu gently comforts her, and their bond grows even deeper.
