Mi Mi is moved by the birthday table Soon Deok prepares and gives thanks for the ordinary peace she enjoys. Yet as she settles into that modest happiness, Gang Nam, Dae Chi, and Da Mi each face circumstances that cause their daily routines to slip off course. A peaceful birthday becomes the first sign that something is shifting.

Jin Hee starts to feel anxious after receiving a certain text message. While Da Mi steps away from the store for a moment, Jin Hee causes a scene. Witnessing the chaos, Da Mi confronts Jin Hee, just as Do Yun arrives to meet Jin Hee. Later, Da Mi visits a bakery to buy a birthday cake for her mother, where she runs into Do Yun again, sparking a tense standoff between the two.

Mi Mi recalls her poignant first encounter with young Da Mi, who saved her when she had fallen into despair. The next day, she carefully prepares side dishes and heads to her eldest son Gang Nam's home, only to find the house empty. When a neighbour tells her Gang Nam's family moved away without a word, Mi Mi tries to brush off her hurt, telling herself they must have been busy.

Worn down by her aunt's relentless demands, Jin Hee reluctantly transfers a large sum of money to her. Meanwhile, Do Yun visits the department store on an errand for Jin Hee, only for Da Mi to mistake him for a pervert when a piece of sexy lingerie falls out of his jacket. Later, Da Mi meets Mi Seon, who shocks her with something unfathomable.

Da Mi is stunned when Mi Seon reveals that she and Gang Nam have divorced after his reckless generosity and co-signing left the family broke. When Gang Nam returns home with Su Ah, Mi Mi explodes at him for losing everything and driving Mi Seon away. Meanwhile, trouble closes in on Dae Chi as Mi Mi discovers seizure notices at his home.

Seung Yun's accident trauma surges without warning, and Da Mi is the one who calms him before guiding him back to his suite. Meanwhile, Dae Chi's enormous debt is finally exposed to Mi Mi, whose fury sends her racing after him with a toilet brush. There is nowhere left to hide from what hurts the most.

Mi Mi fakes a fall to stop the fleeing Dae Chi, then drags him home before he can slip away again. At K Department Store, Da Mi unexpectedly reunites with Seung Yun as he comes to buy a scarf for his grandmother. Meanwhile, Do Yun learns Se Na made him look like a pervert, and he heads straight for her. Now, Se Na has some explaining to do.

Mi Mi's children's endless troubles wear her down. Hoping to cheer her up, Da Mi buys her a designer scarf, but Mi Mi lashes out instead. Meanwhile, Gang Nam's desperate request for some money ends in a bitter clash with Dae Chi, and Soon Deok senses that something is wrong with him. Elsewhere, Seung Yun's return brings the family together for an uneasy dinner.

Soon Deok’s unexpected remarks leave Mi Mi’s family sweating bullets. With her children causing one problem after another, from Gang Nam’s divorce to Dae Chi’s dismissal from a major corporation over debt issues, Soon Deok finally issues a stern warning to her children. Meanwhile, tensions between Geum Soon and Jin Hee continue to escalate. Geum Soon asks Mrs. Anseong to keep a close eye on Jin Hee’s every move.

Dae Chi sets his sights on the money Mi Mi has saved for Da Mi as he scrambles to pay off his debts, putting family trust on the line. Kang Gang Nam grows suspicious of why Mrs. Choi has gathered the family for a game of Yut, while Jeon Jin Hee spots Mrs. Anseong outside Madam Chairwoman's room and senses that something is wrong. The unease is only beginning.

Furious over the trouble Gang Nam and Dae Chi have caused, Mi Mi anxiously watches Soon Deok's reaction. With the family gathered for a game of yut, Soon Deok wins and presses Dae Chi to confess what he's hiding. Drunk and overwhelmed, Mi Mi blurts out the enormous debt Dae Chi has incurred, then collapses, leaving the family stunned.

Meanwhile, Hak Sung checks Da Mi's ID card and is deeply shocked by what he discovers.

Silence says more than anyone dares.
