The Coraje brothers argue with Falcón over the land that separates them, as he believes it is an obstacle preventing the cattle from La Perla Ranch from drinking water from the river. Rogelio Barrios is determined to find the treasure buried between his ranch and the Coraje family’s, at any cost, to keep his land. Juan Manuel refuses to sell his ranch to Rogelio, despite his mounting debts, because he knows that doing so would mean losing his legacy and the inheritance for his children. Falcón, acting on orders from his boss Rogelio, eliminates Juan Manuel and his wife Patricia to set his plan in motion to take control of the Coraje ranch.

The Coraje siblings rush to the scene of their parents’ accident after learning of the terrible collision they suffered on the road. Estrella is devastated by the deaths of Manuel and Patricia, and shocked by the strange circumstances under which they lost their lives. Rogelio takes advantage of the difficult time the Coraje children are going through during their parents’ funeral to offer to buy their farm and help them overcome their financial difficulties. Falcón warns Clara not to trust the Coraje brothers, as they will wait for the right moment to take advantage of her, leaving her confused by his words.

The Coraje brothers discover the farm’s debts and begin to suspect that Rogelio’s supposed offer to buy Manuel’s farm might be real. Jovita makes her daughter Lina realize that the whole town is out to get the Coraje brothers, confirming that Lina is completely obsessed with Jerónimo. Clara surprises Lalo by assuring him that he doesn’t have to drop out of school, since the university is willing to support him because he’s an excellent student. In addition, Clara offers her help so he can continue preparing for graduation. The plan to sabotage the Coraje ranch begins when Falcón receives the order to release the Coraje brothers’ horses so they’ll lose the sale.

Juan and Jerónimo discover that their horses have escaped from the stables, leaving them distraught, as the horses are all they have left. Lalo tells Juan that he has accepted Clara as his advisor at the university, though his brother isn’t entirely convinced, fearing it might be a trap. It is revealed that Adela has formed an alliance with Rogelio to destroy the Coraje family, as Adela has a score to settle with Jerónimo. Clara tries to reconcile with Juan, but they end up arguing. However, he makes it clear that she will always be welcome on his ranch, and they grow closer.

Falcón notices Juan and Clara getting very close and immediately fears the worst. Jovita questions Juan’s behavior toward Clara, as she believes he is in love with her. Rogelio discovers that his land lacks minerals, while gold and lithium are found on the Coraje family’s land. Jerónimo runs into Lalo at the market. Lalo reveals that he also has a date, and when they see Clara arrive, they realize she invited them both out at the same time.

Juan lashes out at Clara when he discovers that she invited his brothers to the town fair, which arouses his suspicions and makes him think it’s all part of a plan. Paco, upon learning that Roxie has returned to town, decides to visit her. They have an intimate conversation about the past, stirring up memories that culminate in a surprising encounter, leaving Paco very nervous. Falcón provokes Juan’s anger by mentioning his parents, putting him in an embarrassing situation in front of the townspeople. Rita discovers that the horses that disappeared from the ranch—and which she was about to arrange for transport—belong to the Coraje family and are now under the care of another ranch.

Rita warns Lalo that his horses are about to be taken away and are in the hands of dangerous people. Jerónimo refuses to go with his brothers to retrieve his horses because, to him, they’re just horses; so he decides to go with Clara and leave his brothers to fend for themselves. The Coraje brothers arrive in time to rescue their stolen horses, sparking a fierce confrontation between the two groups. Jacky takes Clara to the riverbank as part of his plan to get rid of her, following Estrella’s orders.

Juan finds Clara unconscious and floating in the river, and, seeing her in danger, acts quickly to rescue her. Clara wakes up after her serious accident and surprises Juan by confessing that she doesn’t remember who he is. Rogelio flies into a rage at Falcón upon learning that his daughter is in critical condition at the hospital, blaming him for the accident that left her in that situation. Jerónimo begins to suspect that Juan’s concern for Clara and the fact that he hid her hospitalization from her brothers are due to the feelings he harbors for her.

Estrella goes through Rogelio’s documents without his permission and discovers that there is a mine on the Coraje family’s land, which is why Rogelio is obsessed with her. Jacky arrives at Estrella’s house, very worried and looking for help. However, Estrella tells her there’s nothing to worry about, that she should make Clara believe it was all an accident, and that she should gradually get closer to her so she can manipulate her as she pleases. Jacky, following Estrella’s plan, apologizes to Rogelio for lying by saying she left Clara alone and that this is why Clara had the accident. Jerónimo confronts Juan face-to-face, noticing the inconsistency in his behavior toward Clara. Without hesitation, Juan admits he’s in love with her.

When Jerónimo hears about Juan’s feelings for Clara, he explodes with rage and makes it clear that they are no longer brothers, but rivals. Juan is suspicious of Rogelio’s intentions toward him and his brothers, believing that it’s all part of a plan to harm the ranch.

Daniela reveals to Juan that Rogelio is going to start a construction project on his land, all with a special permit obtained from the governor. This exposes Clara to Juan, since she had kept this detail from him. Clara confronts her father to confirm whether the construction project is real, as it would affect the Coraje family’s land.

Rogelio threatens Daniela, telling her to stop speaking ill of him in the media and warning her that she may come to regret it if she continues down this path. However, Juan overhears the threat and assures Daniela that he will be there to protect her. Jerónimo reveals to the Coraje family’s employees that he is considering selling the ranch due to financial difficulties, provoking Juan’s anger.

Lina greets a drunk Jerónimo and helps him get to his room, but she takes the opportunity to kiss him, and they both give in to their desire. Clara confesses to Lalo that she’s sad because Juan doesn’t believe her. However, he takes the opportunity to get closer to her and comfort her, and they almost kiss.

Jerónimo tells Lina that her love cannot be reciprocated, since he doesn't feel the same way, and asks her to forget the night of passion they shared. Adela takes advantage of Jerónimo's drunkenness and gets behind the wheel, causing a fatal accident.

Juan remains in the hospital, waiting for news that Jerónimo has been discharged. Amid his worry, Daniela tries to comfort him and ends up kissing him. However, Clara unexpectedly witnesses the moment. Clara confesses to Jacky that she’s in love with one of the Coraje brothers and begs her not to tell her father anything.

Estrella's plan backfires when Falcón finds Esteban, Rogelio's geologist, on the Coraje family's land. Before her plan is exposed, Estrella decides to eliminate him.

Rogelio and the Coraje family are about to finalize the sale of the ranch, but before the deal is closed, Juan shows up unexpectedly, and Clara throws herself into his arms. Juan confesses his love for Clara and says that, thanks to the opportunity God has given him, he will fight for her.

Juan visits Daniela to prove that he is still alive after the incident in which everyone thought he was dead. Falcón confronts Estrella, claiming to know the truth about the geologist’s mysterious death and demanding to know what she is up to.

Jovita suspects that her daughter Lina might be pregnant by her boyfriend, Jim, due to changes in the girl’s appetite. She decides to give Lina a pregnancy test and discovers that her suspicions were correct. However, Lina knows that the child’s real father is Jerónimo. Daniela confronts Clara, telling her that she knows about the start of her relationship with Juan and that she won’t interfere, even though she doesn’t believe the romance will work out.

Jerónimo confronts Lina to find out if he is the father of the baby she is expecting. During their romantic getaway, Clara and Juan give in to passion and share an unforgettable night, taking their relationship to a new level and sealing their love.

Falcón decides to deal Rogelio a low blow by reporting him to the authorities for tax fraud. Arizona authorities arrive at Rogelio’s ranch to arrest him. Thanks to Falcón’s tip, Rogelio’s empire could soon come crashing down.

Rogelio puts the pieces together, and when Falcón comes to visit, he decides to attack him, since Falcón was the only one who had the documents that could incriminate him. Falcón takes advantage of Clara’s difficult situation to slander the Coraje family and blame them for his father’s arrest.

Thanks to Falcón’s plan, Daniela thanks Juan for providing the evidence for her report against Rogelio Barrios. However, Clara overhears the conversation and is furious with Juan for being an accomplice to this betrayal. Falcón’s plan goes off without a hitch, and he decides to “support” Clara by giving her the money she needs to get her father out of jail and pay his bail.

Jerónimo is willing to sell his horse to help pay Rogelio’s bail and prove to Juan that he’ll do anything for Clara. Rogelio is released from prison, but Clara is still angry with Juan because he continues to support Daniela, whom she blames for her father’s arrest.

Rogelio plans to drive a wedge between the Coraje brothers by inviting Jerónimo to work on his farm, with the intention of keeping him away from Juan. Daniela is terrified when she discovers that her house has been burglarized and fears for her safety.

Falcón gets what he wants and accuses Daniela of having turned Rogelio in. Jerónimo confesses to Juan that he’s sick of following orders and that’s why he’s decided to work on Rogelio’s ranch. Clara arrives at the Coraje ranch and discovers that Daniela is staying there. She immediately fears the worst.

Juan and Lalo argue with Jerónimo about going to work for Rogelio. Jerónimo stirs up trouble with Clara over Juan’s relationship with Daniela, causing her to doubt Juan’s love for her even more. Clara breaks down in tears and, after seeing how Juan acted, decides to end the relationship.

Jerônimo advises Daniela to take advantage of the opportunity to try something with Juan, now that he has broken up with Clara. Falcón urges Jason to avenge Larry’s death, blaming the Coraje brothers for what happened. Jim suffers a serious accident when he falls from his horse during the town fair, leaving Lina in shock after witnessing the horrific scene.

Rogelio decides to run for mayor to gain power in the region and prevent others from interfering with his plans. Lina feels guilty about Jim’s accident and sincerely begs him to recover so they can have another chance together. Roxie reveals to Debbie that Paco was the love of her life and that, even after many years, she still hasn’t forgotten him. She confesses that she would do anything for another chance with him.

Jim wakes up after his serious accident and agrees to marry Lina. She promises that together they will build a true love. Daniela assures Juan that she has no intention of leaving him and that her heart will always be open to him. Jason confronts Lalo to teach him a lesson, convinced that the Coraje brothers were responsible for Larry’s death, just as Falcón led him to believe.

Estrella asks the community leader to support Rogelio’s mayoral campaign so they can reclaim their land. Daniela receives bad news from her boss: Rogelio is running for mayor, which will give him even more power. Clara, during her visit with Lalo, takes the opportunity to talk to Juan, but when she enters his room, she finds him half-naked with Daniela.

Jerónimo receives some wise advice and is able to uncover Rogelio’s true intentions. Estrella asks Jerónimo for help in getting closer to Clara, unaware that he has a plan of his own. Debbie takes advantage of Rogelio’s presence at Roxie’s bar and approaches him with the intention of winning him over. Clara and Jerónimo embrace after the success of their business venture, but Juan arrives at that very moment and sees them, making him very jealous.

Jason, furious over his brother’s death, decides to torment the Coraje brothers by using their girlfriends as pawns. He sets his sights on Rita, believing she is Lalo’s girlfriend. Roxie flirts with Paco to find out if he still has feelings for her and ends up admitting that she still makes him nervous. Jerónimo, taking advantage of his recent closeness with Clara, decides to steal a kiss, but she reminds him that they’re just friends.
